Pick The Right Steel For The Job

We work in three primary materials. Here's how they stack up on the things that matter for New Hampshire roads.

Exhaust Questions, Answered

The questions we hear most often before a custom or repair job lands on the lift.

How long does a custom exhaust install take?
A bolt-on cat-back is usually a half-day. Full custom fabrication — mandrel bending, TIG welding, hanger placement — runs one to two days depending on complexity. We give you a firm timeline at consultation, not a moving target.
Will a new exhaust pass NH emissions?
Yes, when built correctly. We retain a working catalytic converter on every street build and use OBD-compatible setups so your O2 sensors stay happy. We won't install something we know will fail emissions — we'll tell you up front.
Is a louder exhaust legal in New Hampshire?
NH requires a working muffler and prohibits exhausts that are excessively loud or modified to amplify sound beyond the OEM design. We build for “noticeable but not obnoxious” — aggressive on throttle, civilized at cruise — and steer you away from cutouts and straight pipes that draw tickets.
Do you replace just one section, or only full systems?
Either. If only your mid-pipe is rusted out we can section-replace it — cheaper and just as durable when welded properly. If the whole system is at end of life we'll quote a full replacement so you're not back in six months for the next leak.
How long does a catalytic converter last?
A healthy converter usually goes 100,000+ miles, but they fail early when the engine runs rich, burns oil, or floods them with unburnt fuel. If a P0420 / P0430 code keeps coming back we'll diagnose the upstream cause first — replacing a converter without fixing the root cause just kills the new one.
Can you match an OEM-quiet sound on a high-flow build?
Yes — that's where resonator and muffler choice matter. We can keep flow up while keeping the sound civil for daily driving. Call us at (603) 825-3815 to talk through your goals before we cut anything.
